Basics of Art of Animation WSL/ATL/PSA-Z
I
1. Exploration of using body parts (e.g., hands) as: characters, symbols, or artistic material;
2. Exploration of new forms of expression allowing for personal experiences in animation;
3. animation exercises: eye contact, thoughts and emotions, rhythm and changes in rhythm as expressions of emotions and themes, posing as an expression of emotional states, etc.
4. Creating etudes based on improvisation on given themes
5. Various functions of the animator and ways of coexistence of form and operator
6. Creating collective etudes

1. Plastic form as a starting point for the scenic discourse;
2. Topic as a starting point for creating an etude, selecting an appropriate artistic form for the etude's theme
3. Constructing the dramaturgy of the etude and creating a short stage statement
4. Mastering the animation technique with the chosen artistic form
5. Character building
6. Transferring thoughts and emotions onto the puppet form

Assessment criteria
Assessment will be based on class participation, preparation level, performance in class exercises, evaluation of teamwork, assessment of the staged presentation of etudes before the examination committee.
The final evaluation will also consider group work skills and the ability to apply basic professional ethics in acting.
The requirement for passing is attendance at a minimum of 50% of the classes.
I Semester - Credit without a mark (non-graded pass)
passing requirements - to pass, active participation in classes, evaluation of preparation for subsequent classes, level of engagement, and visible development of skills in understanding the principles of form operation are necessary; passing (assessment) can take the form of a presentation of prepared etudes or an open lesson.
II Semester – Exam
exam in front of examination comission - presentation of original etudes using plastic forms
