Visual Culture WSL/ATL/KW-Z
The objectives of the classes are:
• Convincing students to actively analyze various phenomena related to visual culture
• Raising awareness of the importance of public and private exhibition institutions as sources of knowledge about the culture of past epochs and contemporary times, as well as sources of inspiration helpful in theatrical creativity
• Raising awareness and discussing selected issues related to the problem of so-called public art
• Developing a critical approach to viewed exhibitions, as well as the ability to analyze art in public spaces
• Presenting basic issues related to the content and ideological message of architecture
• Sensitizing students to selected manifestations of mass and popular culture.

Assessment criteria
Class Participation – actively participating in discussions, being inquisitive, critically examining discussed topics, independently interpreting the phenomena under discussion.
Assessment: A short written paper on a topic chosen by the student, within the scope of the issues covered in class.
