After completing the course student:
K_W04 has a basic knowledge of selected aspects of the history of contemporary art in Europe and in the world.
K_W05 has a basic knowledge of the most important artists, phenomena and tendencies in contemporary art in Poland and in the world
K_W06 has a basic knowledge of the most important theories of contemporary art and knows the most representative authors.
K_W09 knows the most important exhibitions (monograph, thematic) of contemporary art in Poland and in the world.
K_W16 knows and understands the basic methods of analysis of the work of art., work according to traditions, theories or research schools.
K_W22 has a current orientation in artistic life (exhibitions, media projects, conferences) and understands the necessity of permanent participation in culture.
Skills
after completing the course student:
K_U01 is able toexpand and acquire knowledge about contemporary art and knows the necessary tools for this.
K_U02 is able to efficiently use various sources about contemporary art (digital platforms of galleries and museums, on-line libraries, on-line archives), in Polish and in a foreign language.
K_U05 is able to carry out a formal analysis and interpretation of a selected work of contemporary art and place it in the appropriate trend (e.g. pop-art, video-art, happening) knows terminology adequate for the discipline.
K_U06 is able to recognize and interpret references to contemporary art / artists' work / works in a stage performance or theatrical staging. He is a competent audience.

Assessment criteria
