• Familiarizing students with the basics of art therapy, particularly art therapy through theater for individuals and communities at risk of exclusion.
• Demonstrating the potential use of theater techniques in art therapy.
• Providing information about existing institutions and individual artists working in this field.

Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge (W), the student:
- knows the methods and ways of using classical and contemporary forms of theatre and drama, to the extent necessary to work with people at risk of social exclusion (SATL_W02)
- has knowledge of the art therapist's tools necessary to implement their own artistic projects (SATL_W03)
- has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the work methods appropriate for art therapists and the directions for their development (SATL_W04)
In terms of skills (S), the student:
- understands the role of facilitating art therapy workshops in communities at risk of social exclusion (SATL_U01)
- consciously uses art therapy workshop facilitator techniques (SATL_U02)
- has mastered workshop skills exercises that enable continuous professional development through independent work (SATL_U03)
- is able to implement their own concepts using workshop skills in art therapy for those at risk of social exclusion (SATL_U04)
In terms of social competences (K), the student:
- functions as a facilitator of art therapy workshops for those at risk of social exclusion, while adhering to all ethical principles applicable in the community (SATL_K01)
- reflects on the social, scientific, and ethical aspects of their own work (SATL_K02)
Assessment criteria
Credit is awarded based on active participation in classes and independently conducted simulated group activities.
Two unexcused absences are permitted. Students may not receive credit for multiple absences.
