• Familiarize students with the basics of art therapy, particularly art therapy through theater for individuals and communities at risk of exclusion.
• Indicate the potential use of theater techniques in art therapy.
• Develop practical workshop skills within a group of students.

Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge (K), the student:
- has a basic understanding of trends used in art therapy in Poland and worldwide; expands this knowledge through individual work and research (SAD_W01)
- knows and understands work methods appropriate for an art therapy actor and the directions of their development (SAD_W02)
- has knowledge of technical and artistic means of the art therapy actor's workshop necessary for carrying out their own artistic projects (SAD_W03)
- has an in-depth understanding of scientific theories relevant to art therapy and their developmental directions (K_W04)
In terms of skills (S), the student:
- analyzes any social situation related to exclusion with regard to the possibility of adapting work methods to the given situation (SAD_U01)
- improves workshop skills in art therapy through independent work in order to enhance the effectiveness of their actions (SAD_U03)
- adapts work techniques to diverse social groups at risk of social exclusion (K_U03) - acts on behalf of a group at risk of social exclusion, also taking a leading role within it; seeks to reach an agreement on developing a common direction of work; is ready to engage in debate with co-creators (K_U05) In terms of social competencies (K), the student: - acts in accordance with all ethical principles applicable in environments of people affected by the risk of social exclusion, using acquired competencies (SAD_K01) - consciously utilizes their own energy, intuition, emotions, and imagination in creative work (K_K05) - analyzes and draws conclusions from art therapy activities conducted in social, scientific, and ethical aspects (K_K10)
Assessment criteria
Credit is based on attendance and participation in classes, as well as independently conducted simulated sessions within the group. Two unexcused absences are allowed. In the case of more absences, the student may not receive credit.
